About
Dr. Drew Brown IV, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon based in Tampa, Florida, and the founder of DB4Spine. With elite credentials and a deeply patient-centered philosophy, Dr. Brown is recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spinal reconstruction, and evidence-based non-operative care. His practice is built on integrity, education, and a holistic understanding of spine health. Dr. Brown founded DB4Spine in March 2019 after transitioning from corporate medical environments to establish a private practice that prioritizes individualized care and long-term patient outcomes. His approach emphasizes a “patient-first, surgery-last” philosophy, advocating strongly for nutrition, physical fitness, and exercise as foundational components of musculoskeletal health. When surgery is necessary, Dr. Brown applies advanced minimally invasive techniques designed to reduce risk, shorten recovery time, and restore quality of life. A former NCAA Division I basketball player at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Brown brings an athlete’s discipline and performance mindset into medicine. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Hawaii, and pursued advanced fellowship training at the prestigious San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders. Today, DB4Spine collaborates with premier medical centers across Florida, including Tampa Bay Spine & Sport, to deliver world-class spine care grounded in compassion, education, and technical excellence.
